Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy - Balloonixy

1. Overview

Balloonixy provides custom balloon décor, balloon gift boxes, event add-ons, and related party products. Because many of our items are custom-made, perishable, or time-sensitive, specific return and cancellation rules apply. This policy explains your rights and obligations when purchasing from Balloonixy online or in person.

By placing an order, you agree to this Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.


2. Returns & Refunds – General Rule

2.1 Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded unless defective upon delivery or the wrong item was received:

  • Custom balloon décor (arches, garlands, centerpieces, columns, etc.)
  • Balloon gift boxes
  • Personalized items
  • Helium balloons
  • Event rentals and services
  • On-site balloon installations
  • Time-sensitive products (party items needed for a specific date)

These items are created or prepared specifically for your event and cannot be reused, resold, or restocked once delivered.


3. Physical Products Eligible for Return

Some non-custom physical products may be eligible for return, including:

  • Unopened, unused retail items sold by Balloonixy (e.g., pre-packaged party supplies, merchandise)
  • Items not personalized or made to order

Return Conditions

Eligible items may be returned within 7 days of pickup or delivery if:

  • The item is unused and in its original packaging
  • You provide proof of purchase
  • The product is in resaleable condition

Non-Eligible Conditions

Returns will not be accepted if:

  • Packaging is opened or damaged
  • The item shows signs of use
  • More than 7 days have passed

Refund Method

Approved returns will be refunded to the original method of payment within 5–10 business days. Shipping/delivery fees are non-refundable.


4. Defective or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.

To report an issue, you must provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the issue
  • A description of the problem

Balloonixy will, at its discretion:

  • Replace the item,
  • Provide a store credit, or
  • Issue a partial or full refund.

We do not offer compensation for damaged balloons due to weather, temperature changes, mishandling, or transport by the customer.


5. Balloon Décor & Event Booking Cancellations

5.1 Deposits

  • All event bookings require a non-refundable deposit.
  • Deposits secure materials, inventory, and event time slots.
  • Deposits are NOT refundable under any circumstances.

5.2 Cancellation Timeframes

7+ days before the event:

  • Deposit is non-refundable
  • Any additional payments (excluding deposit) may be refunded or credited

Within 7 days of the event:

  • All payments made are non-refundable
  • No credits issued

5.3 Rescheduling

You may request a one-time reschedule at least 7 days before the event, subject to availability. Reschedules requested within 7 days of the event require a new deposit.


6. Weather & Outdoor Installations

Balloonixy is not responsible for the impact of weather on balloon décor, including:

  • Wind
  • Rain
  • Heat or cold
  • Sun exposure

Refunds are not provided for weather-related issues. Customers hosting outdoor events accept full responsibility for environmental factors.


7. Pickup vs. Delivery Issues

7.1 Pickup Orders

Once an order is picked up, the customer assumes full responsibility for transportation, handling, and storage. No refunds for popped or damaged balloons after pickup.

7.2 Delivery Attempts

If delivery is attempted and no one is available to receive the order:

  • The driver will wait up to 10 minutes
  • A second delivery attempt will incur a new delivery fee
  • No refunds will be given for missed deliveries

8. Helium Balloons Disclaimer

Due to the fragile nature of helium balloons:

  • Float times are estimates, not guarantees
  • Temperature, humidity, and handling affect performance
  • No refunds for popped, deflated, or damaged helium balloons after delivery or pickup

9. Gift Certificates & Store Credits

  • Gift certificates are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Store credits expire 12 months from issue date
  • Store credits cannot be exchanged for cash

10. Fraud & Chargeback Policy

Balloonixy investigates all chargebacks. If a claim is determined to be fraudulent:

  • The customer is responsible for all product and service costs
  • Legal action may be taken
  • Customers may be banned from future ordering
